This month celebrates both the LGBTQ+ community and the emancipation of those who had been enslaved in this country. Job Corps is a program of inclusion, of supporting and respecting our students and staff, and their varied backgrounds and experiences. As the national director, I join those in our community for whom these events have personal significance.
Through our language, policies and practices, we aim to recognize and affirm people’s identities and relationships. Everyone deserves to live in an environment where they are respected and can be their true selves. At Job Corps, we help each student achieve their career and life goals with the support of experienced mentors.
If you know someone between the age of 16 and 24 who is looking for a chance to gain hands-on career training, we’re now offering virtual enrollment – so students can complete the first 60 days of our program from anywhere before joining us on campus. The best part? It’s free. Visit us at JobCorps.gov to learn more about becoming part of a community that encourages growth and success.
