Tank Drafter/Designer Job

Essential Duties:

– Produce engineering deliverables such as drawings and material take offs for the execution of storage tank, sphere, and LT&C projects.

– Utilize 2D and/or 3D CAD to generate fabrication and installation drawings.

– Review and interpret project specifications and incorporate into deliverables.

– Work as a part of a team and communicate work status to the team on a regular basis.

Job Related Qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree, 2 year technical degree, or equivalent experience preferred.

– Understand and apply industry standards to your work. Experience with API, ASME, and AWS are a plus.

– Experience in producing drawings using Microstation and/or AutoCAD. Must be able to generate drawings in 2D (3D skills is a plus).

– Good understanding / experience with the production detail drawings, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and geometrical tolerance.

– Visualize in 3D for the preparation of 2D drawings.

– Ability to work from rough sketches, data sheets, etc. to prepare final drawings.

– Coordinate your work with other members of your team and with other disciplines outside your team.

– Can handle multiple tasks with limited supervision.

– Team player and flexible.

– Ability to work on different projects at the same time.

– Good communication and analytical skills.

– Self-motivated, responsible, reliable and resourceful.

– Able and willing to perform CAD work for: steel, concrete, rebar, and other kinds of metals and infrastructure.
