Software Engineer

Palmer Group is working with a trusted Des Moines client on their search for a Software Engineer to join a fast-paced Agile work environment. We are looking for individuals who are creative, driven to succeed, able to thrive within a small team environment. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

• Focus on back-end architectural enablement work for mobile and web applications
• Follow and improve established processes for software development life cycle with an agile approach to software delivery
• Collaborate with other teams to deploy well engineered software on a regular cadence

Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to build high performance multi-platform applications and robust APIs in an agile environment
• Experience working in teams with a DevOps culture and not afraid to jump into the tech stack where needed
• AWS experience (EC2, Lambda, CloudFormation, S3, SQS, etc) or similar cloud platforms
• Experience with REST APIs in Python or C#
• Chalice for serverless microservice development experience
• AngularJS, TypeScript, HTML5, Javascript, CSS3 experience
• Swift for iOS or Java for Android experience
• Experience withPostgreSQL, SQL Server, or another RDBMS
• Experience with Jenkins DSL for CI, Fastlane for mobile CD
• GIS development MapBox, Leaflet, RasterIO, GDAL experience
• Automated testing including unit, integration, API, contract, and end-to-end testing experience
