Engineering Manager

Requirements: THIS IS A VIRTUAL JOB. NO RELOCATION NEEDED. Results driven with demonstrated ability working in a high performance manufacturing environment. Power systems experience: 138kV to process loops, motor control centers, switchgear, transformers and relays. Electronic component diagnostics and troubleshooting skills including PLCs, VFD Drives, DCS systems and computer related controls and programming capabilities. Ability to execute concise and effective €œmission based effective programming in PC/PLC, and VB/data based (such as industrial SQL) environments. Proven experience in a process improvement and project management skills. Must have good attention to details, but be able to manage the big picture and have a “make the numbers€ mentality. Must be able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a day in and day out basis. Must be able to motivate, communicate and drive continuous improvement. 4 -7 years of related experience, including 2-5 years of troubleshooting experience with close support of production equipment. Printing industry experience a plus. 2 – 3 years capital project management experience. PLC and PC based controls and instrumentation experience. Wonderware, Visual Basic, database (SQL), industrial web applications, industrial communications, AC/DC drives and motors, servo control experience a plus. Project management and leadership skills. Technical training at various levels of the organization. Excellent teams skills – as team member and trainer and developer. Thorough understanding of National Electric Code (NEC). Demonstrated mechanical ability. Job Duties: Reports to the Director of Engineering for all electrical/electronic and some mechanical related issues including projects, maintenance support, upgrading/maintaining facilities and equipment as well as leading projects of their own with a focus on safety. Performs as a team member of various project teams where capital improvements have been identified against specific business issues. Also serves as a coordinator or clearing house of ideas for improvement techniques and implementation strategies. To provide engineering support to the Engineering and Reliability organization for related electrical components of all equipment and facility processes, capital project management and planning, installation and up-keep of electrical systems or plant systems by performing the following duties. Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, and systems, applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering. Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of technology in safety, controls (CAT III intent), instrumentation, motion (drives), OIT and process control/improvement strategy. Learns, applies and maintains process knowledge. Application of formal Risk Analysis in safety designs. Leads installation, operation, process improvement and strategic maintenance of equipment. Develops motor controls, process logic control systems and schematics. Application of NFPA Guidelines. Develops project scope of work packages. Actively manages, develops and leads all phases of Electrical Capital Projects. Manages and supports electrical project budget development process. Leads specification development of standards for design and purchasing, including RCM requirements such as PM and stringent recommended spare part methodology. Comments: NO RELOCATION IS NEEDED, BUT MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL UP 75% (MONDAY – THURSDAY).

Salary: $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year
