Java/J2EE with UI Technologies

Role: (Senior Associate): Tech lead in Production Engineering team for POC application (Sterling OMS v9.3)

Responsibilities:

  • As part of L3 support team, work on root cause analysis of reported issues, identify a solution, socialize the solution with stakeholders, develop and implement the solution.
  • On call support for Critical Production issues (only for P1 issues)
  • Work with production Engineering team to understand and analyze the root cause of the issue.
  • Work with offshore development team for work assignment/deliverables related to L3 issues/Jira tickets
  • Liaison with Application Dev team, QA team and DevOps teams during development, testing and deployments as needed
  • Align with the Business Product team for overall application road map and for prioritization of issues for development, implementation
Expectations:

  • 6+ years of development or application support experience in IBM Order Management application (v9.3 or higher)
  • Good understanding of IBM Sterling Order Management application architecture, build & deploy processes.
  • Strong experience in Java development
  • Excellent customer facing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to business and technical audiences
  • Good understanding of Apache camel, spring framework, HTML. JavaScript, UI technologies
  • Should have worked for a Retailer
  • Exposure to Point of Commerce systems (Toshiba Gravity) is a plus
  • Good understanding of tools: Jira, GIT, Splunk and DevOps automation tools (Jenkins)

  • Strong experience in Java development
