Job Description

• Good understanding about IBM AIX and Red-HAT LINUX architectures.
• Thorough knowledge about ITIL Processes – Incident/Change/Problem Management and Request Fulfillment
• User Administration on UNIX Servers
• OS Patching – IBM AIX and Red-HAT LINUX
• Production Readiness of UNIX Servers
• Chef and Puppet skills and hands on
• LVM Administration
• Server Decommission – IBM AIX and LINUX (Physical & Virtual Servers)
• Managing System Resources like CPU, SWAP, Memory, Filesytem Utilization
• Troubleshooting Adapter and Multipath Issues
• HACMP/GFS Cluster administration
• Software Package Management
• NFS Configuration and Administration
• Satellite/HMC/ILO/IBM Blade Server Administration
• Generation and Analysis of Nmon logs
• Carry out scheduled Server Maintenance / Reboot activities
• Vendor coordination with Redhat/IBM and HP in performing Change Requests
• Working with different application teams pertaining to UNIX in troubleshooting job failures
• Software upgrades such as Java, WebLogic, Tibco, TOMCAT, Splunk, VMWare tools
• Disaster Recovery Testing
• Software Migration
• Puppet, Automation & Cloud knowledge desirable
