Oracle Applications Developer

Our Power Products LLC business in Menomonee Falls, WI is adding an OracleApplications Developer to their team. Reporting to the IT Applications Manager, this position contributesignificantly to the business by enhancing the Oracle e-Business Suite platformand integrated systems to better serve our customers. The primary responsibilities are to identify,develop, test and troubleshoot code to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Document business requirements and establish technical requirements:

• Work with functional users todocument business process requirements. Translate functional user statementsand documentation into requirements documentation.

• Work with businessapplications management, development team, and database/system administratorsto identify technical development requirements.

• Estimate time required toperform application maintenance and software development tasks.

Technical development:
• Develop technical data model,file structures, logic statements, code artifacts and unit testing as requiredfor business requirements.

• Integrate custom softwareobjects seamlessly into the supported application for improved maintenance,future enhancement and security.

• Utilize source code controlinfrastructure around the supported application to control the developmentprocess, provide for testing, and provide for recovery of prior versionsoftware.

• Generate requireddocumentation for future analysis, troubleshooting, maintenance, andenhancement of developed software.

Ongoing support and special projects:
• Work with functional users,software vendors, technical team, and support groups to debug and resolveissues.

• Maintain involvement in thesoftware user community to take advantage of knowledge base, softwaredirection, and trends. Maintainawareness of new technology.

Oracle E-Business Suite Maintenance and Development:
• Configure and enhancecapabilities of the current system.

• Work with business to defineand implement new capabilities.

Package Implementation:
• Ability to implement andintegrate packaged software applications into the business.

• Provide support for thoseimplemented software applications.

Project Management:
• Ability to estimate, plan,and execute small to mid size projects.

Required Skills:
• Must be able to communicate orally and electronically with teammembers and leaders of supported organizations.

• Must be able to hear/understand/speak with team members at all levelswithin a diverse workforce.

• Must be able to travel by air/auto to remote sites.

• Must be able to work in front of a personal computer for long periodsof time.

• Must be able to lift documents/work materials up to 15 pounds inweight.

Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• 5+ years of experience in application development with at least 3years in Oracle E-Business Suite

• 3+ years of experience in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, OracleForms/Reports, Workflow, API’s and Interfaces

• Working knowledge of Oracle Application Framework and ServiceOriented Architectures

• Understanding of business process workflow, setups and functionalityof application modules in Oracle E-Business Suite

• 2+ years of experience in system integration. Middleware and messaging skills required,experience in XML and XSL preferred

• Nice to have experience or course work in Java/J2EE environment or C#

• Previous experience and success in managing small-sized projects tocompletion

• Proven ability to take user requirements from concept to technicaldesign and successful implementation

• Previous success in module and application level software testing

• Proven team player and demonstrated ability to communicate with alllevels of the organization

• Work closely with technical management, technology resources andother individuals throughout the requirements, design and implementation phasesof projects

• Strong written and oral communications skills
