Description

• Work with the design team to assist with the design and development of various Inspection equipment.
• Design and draft industrial electrical schematics and assemblies, wiring diagrams, cable lists, cable management systems, isometric drawings, and bill of materials in detail.
• Prepare conduit/ cable schedules and riser diagrams for electrical installation.
• Update electrical drawing packages to match current manufactured or installed electrical assembly and wiring including I/O points.
• Assemble and draft electrical drawing packages of prototype assemblies that will become production models.
• Perform drawing checks to confirm accuracy and acceptability guided by drafting standards/ specifications.
• Measure factors that affect installation and arrangement of equipment.
• Coordinate with other departments to accomplish a design that will not conflict with others or affect delivery.
• Work with vendors to receive technical information and integrate components within the system design.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or Technical Degree
• 2-5 years of electrical design and drafting in the industry.
• Experience in drafting low voltage power distribution and PLC control system design.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Solid Works, Inventor, EPLAN, or Siemens NX.
• Strong MS Office with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
• Self-motivated to perform and solve problems independently and able to work with engineers and other members from different departments to complete projects.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Detail Oriented

Desired Qualifications (Not Required):

• Knowledgeable of various electrical standards including, but not limited to the following: NEC, NFPA, NFPA70E, UL, ANSI, CSA, IEC, EN.
• Experience in the following electrical and control designs: variable frequency and servo drives, pipe handling equipment, NDT and ancillary equipment, and mobile generators.
• Experience in creating flowcharts and project timelines using MS Office products
