PURPOSE

Review and Enter selections provided by the designers into computer system timely and correctly.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Enter flooring and cabinet selections into computer system to create a quote. Goal is with 24-48 hours of receipt.
  • Check generated quote for correct pricing or contact pricing department if not.
  • Scan in all documents for each quote entered.
  • Enter revisions/changes and delete old selections.
  • Verify dollar amounts on upgrade addendums.
  • Help answer phones and greet builders or homeowners at doors (if applicable)
  • Help make appointments with salesperson or prospective homeowner. (if applicable)
  • Send out bust-out forms to builders, if so, go back and delete quote from computer system.
  • Check and verify spreadsheets; file if correct.
  • Help solve or answer any selection questions if possible.
  • Contact MIS Department of any computer complications.
  • Train new data entry employees on computer system.
  • Read flooring diagrams, and re-figure if necessary.
  • Make certain spreadsheets, selection sheets, and upgrade addendums that correspond with signed standard specification sheets from builder.
  • Help put packets together. (if applicable)
  • Order samples for homeowner (if applicable)
  • Print plans from computer system.
  • Keep up with inventory.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Comply with all company safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High School education or equivalent.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills

Two years administrative experience. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Handle multiple tasks, and projects simultaneously. Prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers. Color distinction is necessary. Moderate noise levels.
