UI/UX Web Developer

Way Beyond Rewards is looking for an energetic UI/UX Web Developer person to join our team developing new software and improving existing software in a start-up environment. The UI/UX Web Developer will participate as a key part of the development team, and be responsible for aspects of the development lifecycle. As an UI/UX Web Developer, you will be responsible for creating designs and user interface for all front-end work on our new and evolving products. The job will be out of our downtown Manchester, NH office.

Major Duties:

• Create well-organized, clear source files.
• Test all mark-up to ensure W3C standards compliance, optimized speed and code structure.
• Lead design to convert comps into valid, clean markup.
• Produce designs for websites, landing pages, dashboards, content management systems, e-mails and more.
• Collaborate with marketing to perform markup edits for SEO and marketing purposes.
• Collaborate with the back-end development team to ensure tech and design are in sync

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven and strong understanding of current practices in website design, mobile site design, and typography
• Understand design considerations for mobile and smart devices are appropriate as opposed to native web-based applications
• Understanding of maintaining a brand’s visual consistency
• Deep expertise and proven track record completing front-end development and design projects on time and to spec
• Expert in hand-coded responsive design in HTML5 and CSS3
• Strong understanding of W3C, Standards Compliant XHTML, and Javascript Libraries (Jquery, etc.)
• Experience building cross-browser compatible, mobile-friendly markup, which works well with SEO
• Experience translating prototypes and designs into clean, valid, and launch-ready mark-up
• Experience working with Google analytics tagging and conversion tracking
• Experience integrating HTML/CSS into ASP.NET environment using Visual Studio
• Expert knowledge of WordPress based sites
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Occasional travel required, including international travel to Mexico

Nice to have

• Experience with modern versions of Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server
• Experience with data driven systems
• Experience in the financial services industry
