Technician I

The Technician I provides user support and customer service on company supported computer applications and platforms. Troubleshoot problems and advise on the appropriate action, managing each request until completion.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
  • Active Directory account administration.
  • Cisco Call Manager administration.
  • Unity voicemail administration.
  • Procuring IT equipment when requested by management, and to replace usable parts like printer toner cartridges and maintenance kits.
  • Adhere to the corporate asset management procedures.
  • Set up and configuration of new hires.
  • Deactivation of employee terminations.

Job Knowledge/Skills:

  • Microsoft OS
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Citrix Metaframe XP administration
  • Microsoft Exchange Administration
  • Strong customer service and communication skills required
