General Description of Position

• Perform accounting functions as needed and assigned. Possesses strong critical thinking, accounting and analytical skills. Works independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with a moderate or high level of difficulty

Skills/Knowledge

• Able to navigate through internal and external computer systems including Microsoft Word and Excel, and have proficient PC keyboarding skills
• Able to use acquired skills & knowledge and willingness to learn new skills
• Knowledge of personal computer hardware/software and automated accounting system is required
• Understanding of accounting and systems in a professional environment, and supervisory, team, and special project skills are highly desirable
• Must be able to work as a contributing team member towards achieving the stated goals of management

Education/Certification/Licensure

• High School Diploma
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college with a major in accounting, business or finance preferred

Experience

• Three years of audit, financial, or general ledger experience
• Healthcare industry related experience preferred
• Certified Public Accountant license preferred
