Passenger Service Agent

Summary: As a Passenger Service Agent you will support airlines by performing airline ticket counter and gate service functions for the airline customers

Duties:

• Ensure a safe work environment by following Global Aviation and carrier rules and regulations regarding the workplace
• Check passengers in at the ticket counter, gates and hand out boarding passes for outgoing flights
• Check passenger’s baggage, place bag-tags on them at the ticket counter for appropriate destination
• Coordinate ticket counter activities with the agents on the ramp regarding baggage handling to assure that all bags get on the out-going flights
• Handling customer’s complaints regarding ticketing and baggage handling when problems arise (Lost baggage, lost/misplaced tickets, cancelled or delayed flights)
• Make announcements regarding flight activities at the gate or over Airport General PA system
• Answer customer’s questions regarding flight schedules, fares, space availability for a particular flight and other questions that may arise
• Maintain excellent level of service expectations of both, the passenger and the airline customer at all times
• Communicate with flight crew on ground and via ground to air radio
• Communicate with other airport vendors regarding specific flight information (fueling, catering, etc.)
• You are responsible for all flight movement messages in and out

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school/GED
• Must be able to pass drug test, background check and must be able to obtain an Airport Authority ID Badge
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds
• Must be willing to work flexible schedules, various shifts, any day of the week and weekends according to scheduling
