Requirements

Passion for web and mobile development and demonstrated knowledge of web development principles

3 years of relevant WordPress and/or PHP programming experience

Ability to research and vet new WordPress releases and plug-ins

Ability to create custom post types and taxonomies

A firm understanding of responsive design themes

Experience with developing web applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery

Experience with API’s such as Google Maps, Twitter, and Facebook

Understanding of web application security issues and countermeasures

Understanding of Search Engine Optimization and Digital Marketing as it applies to developing websites

Can effectively communicate and collaborate with managers, designers, and clients to develop detailed specifications and robust sites within budget and on-time

Ability to deploy and manage a growing collection of web sites on the WordPress platform and websites that might utilize custom code or other CMS’s

Additional Requirements (preferred but not required)

Mobile and ASP.NET development, knowledge of iOS and Android

WordPress skills including

Writing custom plug-ins, functions and queries

Ability to work in both Linux and Windows; Apache, MySQL and PHP environments

Configure database, page, object and component caching
