Drafting Supervisor – P&ID Design & Development – Houston TX

The P&ID Supervisor leads a group of Designers that maintain, develop, and/or update intelligent project P&IDs for the engineering department. This position encompasses a leadership role as well as the creation, maintenance, and development of the associated databases, the drawing components, and the user interface in compliance with Enerflex standards. This will involve cross-discipline communication with Engineering, Design, and IT in the maintenance of standards as well as improvement in work processes. In addition, the supervisor coordinates project flow from multiple engineering subgroups efficiently, estimates turnaround time, and assigns additional tasks to the P&ID group. Occasionally the supervisor will assist the group by working on P&IDs as well.

Education and Certification

Required:

• Proficient using AutoCAD 2014 or later.
• Proficient using CADWorx P&ID 2016.
• Basic understanding of SQL Server

Desired:

• Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Experience
• Proficient in .NET C# programming
• Group leadership or management experience

Primary Responsibilities and Assignments

• Coordinate P&ID workflow to meet deadlines Estimate turnaround time
• Train new P&ID designers
• Assist P&ID designers in complying with standards
• Create and maintain SQL project databases
• Maintain CADWorx support files
• Maintain user interface (CUI)
• Maintain Enerflex drawing templates
• Create and maintain standard P&ID components
• Implement work process changes when required
• Creation of Project P&IDs when required due to project workload in the P&ID design group.
• Liaison between drafting and Engineering Standards, Corporate IT and CAD Manager on all associated development efforts related to or affecting P&IDs.

Working Conditions

Fast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. Domestic and international travel is possible on occasion.
