Position Overview: Build the strategy for CCNA’s culture and employee communications program across the U.S. to engage CCNA and bottling partner associates. Responsible for driving employee engagement and embedding a culture of Ambassadorship throughout the system by developing and executing employee communications and experiences that inform, empower and mobilize Coca-Cola company and bottling partner associates.

Function Specific Activities:
Responsibilities include strategic planning and communications plan development; long-term project and program management; messaging and content development; creation and delivery of customized employee training and development programs; event management; and vendor/agency management.

Provide support for Leadership/Executive Communications for select ELT members and/or strategic business initiatives. Develop and sustain routines with other functions and internal organizations – in particular Human Resources – to support their efforts to drive culture with strategic communications. Reinforce business priorities and the Coca-Cola narrative across internal communications channels, including email, town halls, meetings, video digital platforms, etc. Proactively identify new ways to reach associates – particularly in the digital space – and work collaboratively with the team to bring those ideas to fruition.

In order to drive culture and employee awareness and advocacy throughout CCNA and the U.S. Coca-Cola System, this position builds strong relationships and constantly solicits feedback from other functions, PAC COEs and CCNA Region PAC. The position contributes to the overall strategic direction of the Employee & Leadership Communications COE.

Coca-Cola Culture Communications: In collaboration with Corporate, develop strategy, build content, and manage the implementation of culture communications that further our growth ambition and support a Coca-Cola Ambassador mindset. Customize communications and tools for U.S. associates, including bottling partners.

Coca-Cola Culture and Ambassador Tools & Resources: In collaboration with other CCNA PAC COEs and Marketing, develop the strategy, concept and design for engaging employees in key business initiatives, such as #CocaColaRenew. This may include developing communications toolkits, employee social media campaigns, in-person and virtual message trainings, and leveraging digital platforms and other internal communications channels. Develop and pilot new programs to reach and activate our most active and engaged Ambassadors, leveraging an influencer model to enable and encourage associates to promote our growth story and culture internally and externally.

Leadership Communications : Work with senior leaders to embed Coca-Cola Ambassador, growth behavior and other cultural principles into leadership communications, routines and tools, including speeches, presentations, email messages, videos, town halls and team meetings. Develop and manage strategic speaking opportunities to internal audiences, leveraging external partners and thought leaders where appropriate.

Bottler Counsel & Communications : Develop collaborative partnerships with Region PAC to help steward key messaging and internal communications best practices to the franchise bottler system. Support franchise bottlers as they launch and grow their own employee communications and engagement programs.

Employee Recognition : In partnership with Corporate PAC and HR, support efforts that help celebrate employees, particularly around growth behaviors and other key business initiatives.

Owned Digital Channels : Contribute to the Company’s presence on global internal communications platforms and Coca-Cola Journey.

General : Contribute to the execution of the department’s strategic business plan and overall communications values. Oversee key communications initiatives, while helping to develop other team members. Work with team and functions to identify, support and execute high-impact communications leveraging a range of internal spokespeople and voices. Create content and messaging that is used as the gold standard across all COEs and departments. Employ an agile mindset and maintain flexibility to support the work that matters most across the team.

Education

Minimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Level: Master’s Degree

Experience

Minimum Required:
5-7 years of high level of public relations/communications experience and expertise in order to understand the broader impact of internal communications and employee engagement

Ability to support PAC colleagues and take part in larger PAC and Marketing communication efforts.

Ability to set the employee communications strategy for key executives, as well as experience in positioning and preparing executives to speak to external audiences.

Experience keeping employees informed of business strategies, key initiatives, brand launches, legislative impacts, etc., helping to ensure an engaged and informed work force.

Advanced content development and project management skills required to build communications platforms and tools from concept to production to launch

Deep knowledge and understanding of digital communications platforms and their applicability to employee communications

Ability to identify and create solutions to complex internal communications challenges, including different IT capabilities, multi-language employee base, and high percentage of desk-less and hourly workers.

Excellent writing and editing skills needed to take complex information and transform it into easily understandable messaging that effectively engages associates

Advanced speaking and presentation skills required to effectively connect with and educate system leaders across all functions

Deep understanding of the North American business system in order to better embed culture and Ambassador messaging into routines and functions
