Database Administrator, Mid
Key Role:

Serve as a database administrator and subject matter expert supporting federal government clients and install, maintain, and upgrade internal and client databases. Maintain data access controls and implement company and government–required security standards. Integrate COTS, GOTS, and internally–developed software packages with database systems. Design and maintain complex data processing procedures and research current and future database technology trends. Apply sound technical judgment and innovation to develop and document processes and methodologies to best store and maintain critical infrastructure–related data. Leverage knowledge of and experience with information architecture and multiple database platforms to best make recommendations and autonomous design decisions. Prepare documentation, data dictionaries, and user guides, work with the project lead to apply quality control techniques, and provide feedback to improve client projects.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience as a database administrator

-2+ years of experience in working with SQL and PL/SQL

-Experience with the Oracle database platform

-Experience with creating and maintaining stored procedures

-Experience with developing reports or briefings to present or communicate methodologies to internal staff and clients

-Ability to work effectively in team and computer lab environments with technical staff

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with writing in–depth database documentation

-Experience with developing Microsoft Access user interfaces

-Experience with Cloud service architectures

-Experience with leading junior database analysts and administrators

-Possession of excellent organizational skills in a rapidly changing environment

-Possession of excellent oral communication skills to present to both external and internal audiences on the designs and methodologies used

-BS degree in CS, IT, or a related field

-Certified Database Administrator (DBA) in Oracle Database software or Microsoft SQL (MS SQL) Server software Certification
