What Are My Responsibilities?

• Assist In-charge on engagements from planning to issuance
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements
• Proactively interact with key client staff to evaluate effectiveness and recommend ways to improve existing accounting policies, procedures, systems and staff
• Responsible for auditing account reconciliations to include: cash, investments, receivables, inventories, liabilities, debt, equity, revenue, payroll, expenses, captial assets
• Prepare and/or audit SEFA supplementary schedules
• Become familiar with drafting GASB 34 audited financial statements
• Become familiar with with GASB statements, AICPA audit guides (state & local government, single audits) and internal controls requirements

Do I possess JE qualifications?

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in accounting, CPA eligibility preferred
• Prior fund accounting experience preferred
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Travel to client sites is required
