Summer Intern – Accounts Payable – Fargo

Sanford Health Internship Program aims to provide our interns with challenging, real-world projects specific to their career path. An Accounts Payable Intern will contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first-hand experience that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Accounts Payable Intern will help in several of the ongoing process improvements and consolidation projects that are currently in motion, including but not limited to Lease Management, Unclaimed Property and Travel Reimbursement processing/internal audit, while also gaining detailed knowledge on the daily activities that occur within the Accounts Payable process. Organize and update items within and relating to the lease management module, including obtaining all missing lease contracts, ensuring payment schedules are accurately reflected in the system and being recorded to the correct GL account. Participate in one on one meetings with AP Project Manager, sitting in on discussions with AP leadership on ongoing projects regarding EDI, ACH conversions, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or an immediate graduate having received one of the previously listed majors. Must have good human relations and communications skills; must be able to follow procedures and instructions given by the leadership staff. Must have strong problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
