Payment Representative – PFS Revenue – Combined

Primary function of posting, verifying and balancing payments from third party payers. Keep informed regarding Medicare and insurance information changes which may impact payment processes and refunds. Research and preparing refunds to be issued to patient and/or insurancecompanies on overpayments. Balance daily deposits and verifying with Finance. Respond to phone calls, emails, and all forms of communications regarding patient accounts. Accurate inputting patient and insurance payments to the accounts receivable system. Receive and sort incoming mail. Collect from cafeteria and pharmacy cash drawer. Working with accounting to assure accurate handling of all Sanford funds. Assist with questions on billing collecting and setting up payments on balances due. Processing petty cash vouchers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Post secondary education or equivalent training in a health care or business related field is required; Associates degree preferred. Must have at least 3 years of applicable experience, with previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Excellent 10 key and basic accounting skills preferred.
