We are eager to attract the best, so we offer competitive compensation. This 10 to 12 week internship program will take place in Portland, Oregon during the summer of 2018.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
Participate in all stages of front-end web development and build or enhance applications used by thousands of people every day

Work with a fast-paced, extremely talented team that values collaboration and delivers high-quality results

Learn about new technologies and products like Angular and Elastic Search

Act as a catalyst to building frameworks and supporting application infrastructure

Apply best coding practices and standards

Hack on the development of APIs to support web applications

Work in an agile environment

What you need to succeed at XPO:At a minimum, you’ll need:
2 years of relevant software development coursework

Background or education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering

Experience in programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Java)

It’d be great if you also have:
Experience in web responsive design

A portfolio that reflects intuitive, functional, and original design

Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment; consult with team members and management as needed

Ability to be open-minded and receptive to feedback in intellectually rigorous environments

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with ability to identify and resolve problems

Organizational skills with ability to multitask; good verbal and written communication skills

Technical competency in coding and testing; good object-oriented programming language skills
