Social Media Manager

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is seeking an experienced and highly creative Social Media Manager to join our growing team. You will manage all of our social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.), execute campaigns and develop strategies to drive engagement and increase followers.

We’re looking for that rare mix of creative and analytical – someone with the imagination to execute unique campaigns as well as the quantitative expertise to form a deep understanding of what drives performance and why. Someone who is a natural at speaking to all movie fans. From GET OUT to BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, you know how to engage every audience. You’re finger is always on the pulse of the latest trends. You’re a pop culture junkie. You know about everything trending on social, before it’s trending. You want to do all you can to keep our followers engaged and coming back for more. Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience managing social media marketing campaigns with large reputable brands (either agency or client side)
  • Proven history of developing creative social marketing campaigns from start to execution/reporting
  • Experience with content development and channel strategy for social platforms
  • Movie fan; Pop-culture junkie; Aware of the latest trends before they’re trending
  • On social 24/7
  • Excellent writing skills; Can adjust copy to speak to different types of movie fans and audiences
  • Superb communication and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of the Alamo Drafthouse brand, voice and tone.
  • Excels at coaching all levels of the organization – whether it is a franchise partner, peer, member of management or the creative team
  • Successful Brand Channel Management experience – overseeing content and growing advocate engagement across owned social channels (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.)
  • Experience managing paid social media campaigns a plus
  • Management experience with day-to-day social operations as well as managing copywriters, content producers and designers
  • Successful history of managing influencer integration into social campaigns
  • Hands-on experience with Sprinklr, or similar Social Media Management Systems
  • Ability to interpret customer insights/data and translate it into actionable business results
  • Must thrive in a highly creative, collaborative, fast-paced and relaxed environment
  • Sets overall social media strategy for the Alamo Drafthouse brand including posting requirements, types of content, customer service, platform growth metrics and customer engagement strategy.
  • Acts as the voice of the Alamo Drafthouse on all socially relevant channels including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, Yelp!, Foursquare, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo, Snapchat, and Flickr.
  • Monitors what is being posted by corporate and franchise partner locations to ensure brand standards are being met.
  • Acts as lead social media trainer, responsible for creative manager’s social success; handles all social media certifications.
  • Recommends and executes system-wide social media promotions that build each market’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Victory.
  • Acts as point for local market social media team on crisis communications.
  • Stays abreast of changes in social media philosophy, platforms and industry trends. Makes recommendations to Alamo social media practices to maximize growth and maintain the Alamo Drafthouse position as a social media leader.
  • Company lead and expert on Sprinklr; assists all Sprinklr users with accounts and support.
  • Key social lead on nationally coordinated PR announcements.
  • Develops relationships with key social media/digital vendors like Facebook and others.
  • Leads social media coordination efforts across sister companies including BIRTH.MOVIES.DEATH., Mondo, Drafthouse Films, American Genre Film Archive and Fantastic Fest.
  • Works with creative team and various company stakeholders to come up with engaging social content and campaign strategies
