Purpose

The High Brew Coffee Brand Manager oversees the day-to-day business of HBC, acting as a gatekeeper to the brand, protecting HBC’s identity, ensuring consistency across all consumer and trade facing channels, driving growth through key initiatives and creative thinking. They will act as the conduit to Marketing leadership, the Field Sales organization and outside partners. This role is a critical piece of the Marketing puzzle.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Brand Management & Major Company Projects

  • Act as conduit between remote CMO and HQ, ensuring seamless communication and alignment
  • Manage Designer, acting as both a coach and mentor
  • Liaison between field teams, warehouse staff and other HQ team members
  • Work closely with HBC leadership team to develop brand strategy
  • Annual business plan development, aligning marketing efforts with sales goals and budgets
  • Project management related to communication of the brand, internally and externally
  • Support CMO in the day to day management of external parties
  • Guide efforts to bring company culture to life at HQ, in the field, with distribution and retail partners
  • Lead efforts to ensure annual company retreat reinforces the spirit of HBC

Creative Thought Leader

  • Support the creative conceptualization of brand campaigns, consumer programming, trade support tools, packaging innovation, experiential campaigns, digital ads, infrastructure, wearables and premiums
  • Lead weekly creative meetings with Designer and Media Manager, using time to brainstorm and collaborate

Communication of the Brand

  • Ensure consistency across all communication channels
  • Clearly communicate all brand messaging, visual, written and verbal, to relevant internal and external parties
  • Attend monthly Field Marketing calls, providing key updates and guidance on brand materials, assets and communication
  • Seek ways to fine tune all aspects of brand messaging
  • Own internal and external facing FAQ’s document, updating and finetuning as needed

Artwork

  • Oversee the development of all branded materials and imagery including items such as: (trade and consumer ads, coupons, collateral, out of home, POS, hard and soft, wearables, premiums, infrastructure, trade show booth, website, digital ads)
  • Manage graphic designer and design queue
  • Ensure all finished assets are filed on internal share drive in proper folder for accessibility
  • Liaison between brand and external coupon clearing house
  • Provide creative and art direction to outside photographers and videographers, managing existing partners and seeking new partners, in alignment with Media Manager
  • Share brand assets with external parties, including: digital, social, influencer, experiential, advertising, packaging, premiums, point of sales, shopper marketing and distributor partners
  • Ensure inventory and budget protocols

Product & Packaging

  • Support packaging development and evolution, including items such as: (updates to core line, line extensions, new formats, new product lines, updates due to reformulations, redesigns)
  • Proofread product and packaging
  • Management of external agency partners
  • Marketing liaison to packaging partners, ensuring printing compliance

Sales Support

  • Lead cross-functional projects related to new customer displays
  • Collaboration with sales team to identify current and future retail needs
  • Support sales in developing and executing tradeshow strategy
  • Source hard and soft POS, ensuring budget protocols are followed while looking to be disruptive in the retail space

Deliverable Management

  • Manage vendor relationships and sourcing of deliverable materials, staying attuned to trends
  • Develop and execute PO’s for all orders
  • Ensure inventory and budget protocols
  • Align with warehouse manager weekly to check inventory, quality / accuracy of deliverable orders

Website

  • Act as Webmaster for website
  • Closely track sales on hbc.com webstore
  • Through deliverable management, provide desirable wearables and premiums

Analytics

  • Become well versed in RTD coffee category
  • Review and analyze performance of coupons and other offers
  • Closely track on-going brand performance in digital space
  • Alignment with Director of Field Marketing to track Marketing efforts associated with sales activities

  • Knowledge of consumer-packaged goods, key retail channels, distribution and route to market
  • Proven creative thinker with experience managing creative agencies
  • Strong analytical thinking
  • Cross functionally minded and great listener and communicator
  • Experienced budget manager
  • High comfort level with graphic design, mechanical files and packaging design
  • Strong knowledge and comprehension of digital, social media and public relations

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • 5+ years brand management or MBA with 3+ years relevant experience

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 /year
