Requirements

National Diploma (NQF 6)/ Degree (NQF 7) in ICT or an equivalent qualification as recognised by SAQA. +A, N+ and similar technical qualifications will be an added advantage. A minimum of 3 -5 years’ experience supporting GPG ICT systems. Must have a valid driver’s license. COMPETENCIES: Knowledge of the relevant legislation and Public Service Regulations. Understanding of expectations of customers. People orientation. SKILLS Verbal and written communication. Customer management, Project Management methodologies, and influencing skills.

Duties

Provide overall IT support on Hardware and software platforms. Ensure efficient operation of the desktop environment. Provide support on IT Infrastructure resources to enable efficient internal electronic communications. Provide remote and onsite support at all GDID officials. Develop and monitor the implementation of ICT policies, processes and procedures. Provide and facilitate infrastructure and operational support services. Provide back office support to update user profiles and network accessibility. Respond to all calls logged via the service desk to prompt support services according to the set SLAs.
