Our client who is a leader in mining and minerals industry is currently recruiting for a BBBEE Trust Coordinator who will be responsible for the management and coordination of the affairs of the BBBEE Trust as well as managing the budget allocations relating to Rural Upliftment Trusts.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • BCOM Finance or BCOM Legal with Honors qualification
  • Minimum 5 years management experience and 3 years project management experience
  • Must have sound corporate governance experience
  • Proven track-record in project management and reporting
  • In-depth knowledge of trusts policies and procedures
  • Fluent in English, Zulu, Xhosa and two other South African Languages (Pedi/Sotho/Tswana/Venda/Swati/Tsonga etc)
  • DUTIES INCLUDE

  • Effective coordination of the BBBEE Trust and the administration of the department in line wih the Company’s policies and procedures as well as applicable legislative rquirements
  • Providing supervision and management to the staff of the Division as well as applying a wide range of managemetn skills and functions to ensure the successful execution of the mandate and objectives of the BBBEE Trust Division.
  • Ensuring that the department keesp proper records of, inter alia, the uplictment and developmental projects that it implements in line with legal requirements as well as the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Developing, maintaining and impleementing divisional procedures and relevant processes in line with industry best practice and company objectives
  • Ensuring that agendas are prepared for meetings and that proper minutes are taken at such meetings
  • Overseeking the policies and procedures of the department and making sure they are kept up to date
  • Maintenance fo all statutory books
  • Dealing with correspondence, collating information and writing reports, ensuring decissions made are communicated to the relevant stakeholders
  • Contributing to meeting discussions as and when reuqired, and advertising trustees of the legal and governanace of proposed actions
  • Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and taking appropriate action
  • Reporting to the company structures on the activities of the BBBEE Trust and the Rural Upliftment Trusts, including the Chief Executive Office, the Executive Chairman as well as the Board of Directors and sub-committees of the Board.
  • Developing and overseeing the systems that ensure compliance by the Trust with all applicable company requirements as well as all legal and statutory requirements.
  • Successful hosting of the annual BBBEE Trust meeting with beneficiaries of the Trust and other key stakeholders.
