Requirements

National Diploma (NQF 6)/Degree (NQF 7)in Financial Management / Logistics. A minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience in movable assets. COMPETENCIES: Knowledge of the Public Service Regulatory Framework. Knowledge of the department Strategy. Knowledge of the SCM policy and procedures. In depth knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations’ Financial Delegations and Risk Management Knowledge of Accounting Standards. Skills- Communication, Computer literacy, Analytical and Presentation and Report writing

Duties

Maintain files with supporting documentation including minutes of meetings and other records for GG and subsidised vehicles. Capture physical movement of assets and updating movements on the system. Facilitate issuing, signing and displaying of the updated inventory control sheet. Verify receipt for correctness and printing of the updated inventory control sheet. Assist with development of the Movable Assets Register in accordance with Treasury guidelines. Maintain files with supporting documentation for newly acquired and disposed assets. Conduct annual asset verification. Facilitate Quarterly spot checks of assets. Conduct Barcoding of assets. Render maintenance of assets.
