SDG Fund Analyst

This investment analyst role is working on a recently launched fund. Managed by one of the groups leading Equity PM’s, this is a global equity fund seeking to deliver long term value for investors alongside achieving positive societal impact aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Key responsibilities:

• Research on companies: investment research and valuation work including DCF modelling; analysis of SDG factors for incorporation into investment appraisals, including a contribution to the formulation of engagement plans.
• Qualitative and quantitative assessment of progress of engagement plans and reporting thereon, including measurement of "impact" from engagement.
• Ad-hoc analysis in relation to, inter alia, investment themes, economics and strategy, portfolio exposures and risk.
• Participate in peer reviews of investments, Composition Review and other portfolio management activity.
• Assist with development of pitch books and other marketing collateral, including research related to that material. Participate, as required, in marketing activity.
• Assist with administrative duties such as maintaining and improving spreadsheets.

Experience Sought

• 2- 5 years of equity analysis, preferably bottom-up stock picking. A high degree of financial literacy from a related discipline (e.g. corporate finance, credit analysis) could potentially also be acceptable.
• Sector knowledge, with a perspective and appreciation of the financial drivers of value across different sectors.
• Experience of handling meetings and questioning senior level company management teams.
• Valuation modelling, DCF in particular.
