Who we’re looking for:

Toyota’s Paint Production Engineering department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support new vehicle process preparation, equipment standardization and equipment installation.

Reporting to the Paint Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint Production Engineering department’s objective to improve vehicle quality, cost and productivity through model change, equipment standardization and installation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support development of innovative paint process equipment
  • Investigate project feasibility, scope, schedule and funding
  • Create process plans, bid packages and project specifications
  • Procure equipment, track budget costs and project schedule
  • Supervise contractors in a field work environment
  • Interface with skilled trades/contractors, affiliate companies, engineers and equipment manufacturers
  • Develop countermeasures for timely completion of project deadlines
  • Resolve vehicle quality concerns
  • Provide updates and reporting to upper management
  • Establish and maintain equipment standards

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering
  • Related engineering work experience
  • Project management experience

Added bonus if you have:

  • Toyota manufacturing experience
  • Automotive paint process experience
  • Experience with paint related process equipment such as robots, applicators, booths and/or conveyors
  • Experience with process productivity and quality improvements
