Department Profile

Wealth Management Technology (WMT) is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical platform behind the products and services used by the Business. The position is part of the Morgan Stanley Global Banking Technology team that develops and supports different banking, lending, deposits and mortgage products.

Position Description: .Net Dev

We are seeking for a hands-on technical developer that will contribute to all aspects of application development including functional and technical specifications, design, development and production support. This person will also ensure high quality of deliverables while enforcing development best practices. The candidate should have strong technical and communication skills and should be able to work well with different stakeholders.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Ensure high quality of deliverables while enforcing development best practices
  • Ensure that system architecture and integration design standards are in alignment with broader platform strategies and business goals.
  • Participate in design discussions and contribute to the architecture process.
  • Adhere to application development guidelines and help improve the guidelines
  • Understand the functional requirements and the timelines.
  • Dev and Unit testing for the modules that are owned.
  • Timely reporting of progress, achievements, and issues. *LI-DC1

PRIMARY SKILLS/MUST HAVE

  • 5+ years of proven development experience
  • Strong Hands on experience with C# .NET
  • Experience with WCF, web services (i.e. SOAP, XML-RPC, etc.).
  • Experience with XML, HTML, JavaScript/AJAX/Jquery.
  • Experience with open source tools & frameworks i.e. git, nuget, entity framework.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience developing technology solutions
  • Secondary Skills / Desired skills
  • Good understanding / experience in the following technologies would be a plus
  • Experience with SQL using Microsoft SQL Server or any other RDBMS and performance tuning
  • Test driven development
  • Source control (preferably Git) and continuous Integration tools
  • Experience in Finance domain/Banking Apps is a big plus
