MS Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) business. The department is comprised of 10 organizations: Sales, Banking & Corporate-Client Technology, Investment Products & Markets Technology, Client Reporting, Core Processing, Private and International Wealth Management Technology, Technology Integration Office, Enterprise Infrastructure & Production Management, Capital Markets Application & Data Services, Deployment Planning & Release Management, and the Chief Operating Office. Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology works with large scale databases such as DB2 and SQL Server, proprietary and non-proprietary messaging software, a broad variety of vendor products, numerous financial exchanges and regulatory entities, and programming languages ranging from .Net and Java to Cobol and VB.Net.

Summary

The MSSB Contact Center IVR team develops and supports a portfolio of Contact Center IVR applications for MSSB clients and the field which include: self-service IVR applications, CTI and intelligent call routing, Call Recording and Speech Analytics, Work Force Management, and Call Back Technology and Reporting. These applications deliver a wide range of functionality by leveraging speech recognition and Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and intelligent call routing to provide the best caller experience.

The position is for a senior hands-on developer in Wealth Management Technology who will help to drive growth in Contact Center operations. The candidate will be part of the core energetic team responsible for design and implementation of innovative solutions to address various challenges that comes with growth in Contact Center operations as part of high priority digital initiative.Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities: -Analyze user requirements and envision system features and functionality.-Collaborate with offshore team of developers.-Design and implement robust, scalable solutions.-Preform proof of concepts in the new areas of development.-Investigate production issues.-Support continuous improvement of the production systems.-Learn and grow together with the team.

Skills Required:

  • Solid programming expertise in Java (8-10 years)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in designing and developing Java web services using mediation flows on IBM WebSphere Process Serverand IBM BPM (for process and workflow design and development)
  • Experience in web based/server-side applications using J2EE Technologies (Java, , JDBC, JSP, Servlets, XML, DOM/SAX etc.)
  • Strong grasp of distributed architecture including SOAP, REST web services and MQ/JMS messaging;- Deep understanding (5+ years) of RDBMS databases, JDBC, and database access technologies ( DB2 preferred but not required)- Strong problem solving and system design
  • Desire to learn both personally and professionally.- Willingness to innovate and improve.Skills Desired:
  • JavaScript with use of in AngularJS/JQuery or similar;- Linux environment and scripting;- Solid understanding of multi-tiered distributed application design;- Practical knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, Apache/Tomcat;- Prior working experience in financial industry;- Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.
