MS Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) business. The department is comprised of 10 organizations: Sales, Banking & Corporate-Client Technology, Investment Products & Markets Technology, Client Reporting, Core Processing, Private and International Wealth Management Technology, Technology Integration Office, Enterprise Infrastructure & Production Management, Capital Markets Application & Data Services, Deployment Planning & Release Management, and the Chief Operating Office. Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology works with large scale databases such as DB2 and SQL Server, proprietary and non-proprietary messaging software, a broad variety of vendor products, numerous financial exchanges and regulatory entities, and programming languages ranging from .Net and Java to Cobol and VB.Net.

Summary

Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management Technology (WMT) division seeks a candidate to support Strategic Programs, Events and Communications. Candidate will work closely with members of the COO team to execute and support organizational events, priorities and programs.Candidate will lead logistics efforts with internal organizational initiatives including divisional conferences, programs and events focused on professional development and engagement. Candidate will run both large-scale and small-scale events aligning to strategic priorities throughout the year. Candidate will work with both internal and external vendors to source rooms/venues, multimedia, catering, etc. to support a robust events production calendar. Candidate will be handling several events at any given time, in additional to being responsible for divisional calendar management, communications management and internal meeting management.Candidate will also support community engagement efforts across the division. Candidate will provide support for communicating with necessary stakeholders throughout the planning process of any such program, organizing meetings, developing content and facilitating program coordination from idea through execution. Candidate will have exposure to senior management both around gathering requirements, pitching ideas and in the execution.The role requires excellent event-management, organizational, time-management and communication skills. You’ll be joining a highly collaborative, hardworking, creative and outside-the-box thinking team, where no job is too big or too small.

Skills Required:

  • Experience planning events and programs from idea to execution stages, logistics coordination experience is key-Excellent organizational skills-Excellent time/priority management skills-Functional and development knowledge of business engagement and workflow platforms, such as SharePoint and Microsoft Project-Experience with setting up and managing social collaboration software; experience with Jive is a plus-Being Pro-active: Identify value add areas for senior leaders beyond day-to-day tasks-Excellent communicator-Good use of initiative, judgment and decision making-Ability to prioritize and identify priority tasks
