IT Support Specialist

This is a temporary position lasting approximately 3 months.

Part-time: 20+ hours per week

Position Summary:
The IT Support Specialist provides daily support for all aspects of the computing environment to ensure that end-users are receiving appropriate assistance. This position works collaboratively across the IT department to provide support in a wide variety of IT-related operations as well as some specific projects. This opportunity will provide an understanding of the daily IT activities in a collaborative, cross-functional working environment. This includes the identification, prioritization, and resolution of end user help requests, including the monitoring, tracking, and coordination of support functions with other members of the IT department. The IT Internship will also contribute to problem resolution by providing support to end users both locally and remotely.

Primary Responsibilities:
Configuration and deployment of new PCs

Software installation, setup and training

Asset and inventory reconciliation

End-user support for multi-function printers

Workstation support for Windows and Mac environment

First-tier support for a variety of hardware and software

Setup and support of WebEx video-conferencing

Administration of user accounts and access rights

Required Experience/Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

General experience with troubleshooting and repairing PC hardware and software

Experience troubleshooting both Windows and Mac OS

Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Office 2010 or above

Ability work independently and be punctual

Proven communication, listening and customer service skills
