Senior Application Software Developer

Assists in the design, implementation, and maintenance of SQL server Integration Services and SQL Server Analysis Projects. Work on several phases of ETL and Cube Development such as creating and maintaining Analysis Services Cubes and the ETL Process that populate those Cubes.

SPECIFIC DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
(Listed in order of importance)

Responsible for the day-to-day duties ETL and Cube Development, which include:

ETL Design and Development

Supporting Daily Jobs Containing ETL Packages

Server and database level security

Population and Refresh of Data Cubes

Back-up and recovery

Review and optimize the views, stored procedures, indices and scripts

Create and automate the monitoring functionality in SQL to identify potential problems and provide proactive solutions.

Integrate and support data requirements from new and existing applications.

Maintain, update and debug the various reporting applications

Create custom reports as needed.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

• Successful completion of daily updates
• Increase ETL and SSAS Refresh Efficiencies
• Accurately plan for future ETL and Cube needs

Qualifications

Thorough in-depth knowledge of design and analysis methodology and application development processes

University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience

Minimum 5 years systems analysis and programming experience with extensive business knowledge

Experienced with SSIS and SQL Server required

Solid understanding of SDLC and QA requirements

Strong analytical skills for complex problem solving

Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

Solid communication skills both written and verbal

Good understanding of emerging technologies
