Internship – Summer 2017 – Coordinator, Creative Design

SUMMARY : Assist the Show Producer in the creative design process of attraction development. Be a valuable resource to aid the overall management of attraction documentation including deliverable documentation, reference documentation, imagery, design drawings and all other records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Collaborate with Show Producer on the organization, presentation and distribution of all project related documentation for both executive review and for use by both inter-departmental partners and third party vendors.
  • Ensure all project Team Members have most current, aligned information on project scope and development.
  • Contribute to the facilitation and reporting of project team meetings and will maintain action item lists for responsibilities and duties.
  • Partner with project producers or coordinators to assist management of specific special projects such as ride or show mock ups.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS :

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution
  • Current class standing of Sophomore or above
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (official transcripts available upon request)
  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement
  • Approximate dates of this internship are from May 2017 – August 2017
  • Availability requirement typically includes 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday (may include weekends)
  • Preferred majors include: Film/Television, Architecture, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Production Design, Themed Entertainment Design

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Suite including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk or Adobe Creative Suites preferred
  • Theatrical or film/TV background is preferred
  • Interest in theme parks or theme park design
  • Production Assistant background preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams
  • Prior internship experience is preferred

Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
