Who is the AURA MANAGER?

  • You understand the ME by Melia brand and appreciate its mission, live and breathe the culture and feel comfortable around its Aura.

  • You express enthusiasm, energy and positive vibes within the organisation and always act according to company ethics and values.

  • You are responsible for constantly reviewing public areas, ensuring that the Aura is always perfect via the correct music, volume, lighting, decoration, temperature and ambience.

  • You are the creator of the ambience, the leader of decor and set ups, and the head of perfection.

  • You work together with Food & Beverage to achieve the perfect synchronisation via the music system for the entire hotel.

  • You are in constant movement around the hotel, ensuring a positive Aura from each and every individual, creating an ultimate connection with the guest and the property.

  • You are a physical representation of the Aura, and a figure that the team both admires and respects.

  • You are a perfectionist of personal image, is always immaculately presented and a prime example of the psychographic of the internal client.

  • You are a Lifestyle Manager and a Public Relations Leader

  • You are the head of creativity and a manager who constantly innovates and implements new ideas and procedures.

  • You are responsible of your own professional development and take your own initiative to learn the functionality of other departments within the hotel.

  • You are responsible for being a prime example for accomplishing all standards and procedures in all areas, even outside your department.

Culture & Events

  • You keep up to date with the coolest establishments in the city, such as bars, restaurants, clubs, galleries, concert arenas, shops etc.

  • You are knowledgeable of local cultural events in the city and are able to offer guests a wide selection of enriching activities

  • You take part in the leadership and organisation of hotel events, together with the support of the PR agency, General Manager and F&B. All events should be communicated to the team in a monthly lifestyle events calendar, and publicised via social media channels.

  • You are responsible of supervising the communication of all social events to the European and American Community Managers for publication on the social networks.

  • You participate in local social actions and ensure maximum participation across all social networks.

  • You are proactive and take part in local actions, cultural events to ensure and increase the awareness of the hotel within the community

  • You participates in environmentally friendly and energy saving actions in aid of supporting the Brands ‘Green’ certificate.

Experience

  • Required minimum 3 year’s experience working for hotels in a similar position or in a Guest Relations Manager or Public Relations Manager position.

  • Candidate must have experience of coordinating a team.

Education

  • Degree in Travel & Tourism, Arts, or Public Relations.
