Front End Web Developer/Designer

AuthenTEAK, a luxury outdoor furniture retailer, is looking to grow it’s digital team with a skilled Front End Wed Developer who will work closely with the team to develop and execute strategies to build website and cart functionality, improve efficiencies, and serve as the technical subject matter expert.

This full-time salaried position is in Atlanta and requires living locally. The candidate will work directly with leadership and be an integral part of our e-commerce team.

Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Develop AuthenTEAK’s website features and functions utilizing industry leading best practices in technology, features, performance and scalability
  • Lead collaboration with business stakeholders, product management, UX, and technology vendors as part of cross-functional development team to clarify requirements and use cases for system enhancements
  • Participate in emergency response to production problems
  • Experience with retail and/or eCommerce
  • Possess a strong understanding of both waterfall and agile software development lifecycle
  • Adhere to established Problem and Change management procedures
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, be a proficient problem solver, and acquire new skills quickly and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience is required
  • 2+ years’ experience in a multi-tier web application architecture is expected; experience in Big Commerce Platform is a significant plus
  • Experience in multiple languages and frameworks; BigCommerce (Node.js), JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS
  • Understand industry trends and champion modern tools, frameworks and practices
  • Strong design, analytical, and communication skills are required
  • Possess a strong knowledge of code standards and best practices
  • Develop design patterns and apply patterns to business requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of people. Present a professional, competent, and confident image in dealing with people.
  • Self-assured and confident with a professional approach; ability to work under pressure toward tight deadlines; willingness to learn, a can-do attitude, and motivated to succeed and grow
