Finance & Operations Analyst

JOB FUNCTION:

RRE Ventures is a New York-based venture capital firm making early stage investments. The Finance & Operations Analyst will manage the firm’s transaction and portfolio company monitoring processes. The Analyst will support the activities performed by the firm’s Finance and Platform functions.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the investment transaction process, including capturing relevant transaction documentation, signatures, contact management, investment memos
  • Manage the onboarding process of new companies, including updating information in relevant systems and lists
  • Manage and maintain portfolio company, contact & transaction databases and mailing lists that support finance and platform functions
  • Manage the portfolio company data reporting process and coordinate with outside vendors; Update external transaction databases
  • Support VP Finance in fund administration-related activities including: review of quarterly financial statements, capital call / distribution process.
  • Support Director of Platform across other platform initiatives such as tracking candidate flow and business development activities, monitoring traffic/engagement of functional peer groups, posting RRE content to site, and running social media metrics and compensation benchmarking reports.
  • Assist in ad hoc assignments related to financial operations, firm operations, platform and financial reporting as needed

  • The ability to work in a self-directed manner and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Interested in a long-term career in finance and operations responsibilities in a private-equity or venture capital environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 1-3 years’ experience in accounting, fund administration or related field
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of financial and accounting principles
  • Expert in Excel, experience with databases. Software development experience a plus.
