About the role

The associate would use specialized knowledge and skills obtained through experience, specialized training or certification to support Equity Research Analyst in preparing Chinese industry and company research by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data, writing investment-related research reports, and creating/maintaining financial models.

The program will provide the candidate with an opportunity to develop his/her skills in fundamental analysis in various industries, financial statement analysis, and investment recommendations based on modeling, valuation and risk assessments, while acquiring hands-on experience with professional tools such as FactSet and Wind.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Provide valuation (Discounted Cash Flow and Comparable Companies) and fundamental analysis of companies in Real Estate sector
• Build and maintain detailed company financial models, collect and analyze industry data, and develop sector databases
• Assist with the timely publication of research notes and reports
• Assist with existing coverage and contribute to new company initiations
• Assist with special ad-hoc projects, presentations and reports as assigned
• Keep abreast of market, company and industry news

Job Qualifications

• Candidates should be top academic performers, be interested in the investment management industry and meet the following criteria:
• Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better
• Strong quantitative, analytical and communication skills
• Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
• Some coursework in finance and economics is a plus

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS degree
• 2 years of related work experience
• In-depth knowledge of investment banking, market, industry sector and/or financial products
• Advanced skills in financial analytical, client relationship management, organizing, leadership and interpersonal relationship management
• Superior skills in written and oral communications

Preferred Requirements:

• Master degree, with a Finance focus
• 5 years of related work experience
• Superior writing skills in Chinese
• No need for sponsorship
