E-Commerce Media Buyer

You don’t just know how to drive traffic, you’re an expert at it. You create compelling ad copy combined with attention-grabbing images/videos that generate insanely low CPCs…which translate to insanely low CPAs, at least most of the time, or CPCs be damned let’s just get that awesome CPA! You focus on things like how much to bid (and on which platforms) and where to place pixels. You test, track and optimize campaigns; CRO, AB testing and multivariate testing are some of your best friends. If this sounds like you, you’ve landed on the right job post.

You might hear them say this in the wild: “The CPC may be higher, but the ROAS is through the roof!”

Primary/Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to drive traffic, sales and other conversions (including audience targeting and segmentation, messaging, and budgeting, etc.)
  • Optimize performance through a digital media mix comprised of PPC, paid search, paid social, retargeting and display media campaigns
  • Conceptualize, execute and report on campaign strategy and effectiveness
  • Analyze data and manage budgets, pacing and performance
  • Test the performance of ad creatives, ad copy, landing page design, and other campaign elements to improve results
  • Identify and present new opportunities and areas of growth that will improve digital media ROI
  • Frequent in-depth data analysis to spot trends/shifts in the landscape and opportunities to improve performance and ROI
  • Regularly report on account performance, interpretation of data, and actionable plans based on findings
  • Collaborate cross-channel with other teams to provide a holistic view of digital footprint and better understanding of how each channel interacts with each other

Secondary/Minor Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high level, up-to-date knowledge of best practices and strategies in various ad networks and channels in the digital ecosystem (search, social, native, and display) and how all of them work together

Qualifications for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree marketing, business, digital media or related field
  • Proven experience with PPC, paid social, paid display, and other digital media advertising channels
  • Experience using Google Adwords, Facebook Ad Manager, Google Analytics, as well as 3rd party management tools such as DoubleClick and Adroll
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically for performance analysis and reports
  • Must be flexible with the ability to self-manage and handle multiple stylistically-dissimilar projects at once in a fun, fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to objectively review and dynamically adjust campaigns based on performance and data.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills and English grammar/spelling knowledge.
