We are currently seeking a Marine Planning Intern:
The Marine Operations Planning Intern will be primarily responsible for developing new and/or improving existing inventory control, supply-chain and logistics processes to support strategic initiatives. The intern may also be tasked with providing data-driven insights into existing operational processes and developing analytical models to support business decision making. Although this is a shoreside position, the intern will work closely with both shoreside and shipboard personnel, and may be required to undertake operational ship visits across the fleet.

Essential functions: Marine Operations IT Systems/Functional Process Improvement Special Projects/Budgeting & Forecasting Strategic Studies & Project Performance Validation

Qualifications: High School Diploma required; Associates Degree preferred Ability to create and configure reports Familiarity with database tools and concepts Previous experience with administration of rules and regulations and compliance oversight preferred Experience with database maintenance preferred Demonstrated ability to manage logical processes within structured databases Excellent typing skills required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Detail oriented and committed to accuracy Analytical skills and independent problem solving ability Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines Strong proficiency in MS Access and Excel Ms PowerPoint preferred Ability to multi-task and effectively communicate results and recommendations both orally and in writing to both internal and external contacts Candidate should be a self-starter with attention to detail Flexible and team oriented Creativity, intelligence, strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
