Computer System Analyst

• Act as an advisor to department managers in formulating their budget submissions and review proposed budget submissions from department managers for accuracy and completeness.
• Make recommendations on custom applications which include a number of MS-Access data capture systems for Stewardship and other databases which need to be moved into a central SQL repository.
• Ability to apply technical skills and experience in managing selected Windows, Apple, UNIX and Linux servers and numerous workstations supporting advanced programming languages and algorithms.
• Provide immediate high priority crisis Platform outage coverage: open CMD or provide feedback for Platform impact. Includes testing Platform, communicating to Channel teams of outage/workaround, ETA.
• Analyze new systems requirements and define the level of effort needed to design, implement and maintain different systems residing the ORS and ORF Application Hosting Environment.
• Backup to different backup media including but now limited to Virtual Tape Library (VTL), Tape Library, Disk, and NFS devices.
• Examine existing IT systems and provide recommendations to ITB management on improving the operation and management of the IT infrastructure.
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing Microsoft based systems.
• Initiated learning AIX sufficiently to verify OS configuration against specifications, support messaging and ancillary applications using scripting Editor.
• Performs duties as a Computer Systems Analyst I for the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) Multi-resolution (MRF) and Entity resolution federations (ERF).
• Provides server and network administration and other related support, including maintenance and operation of a diverse array of Windows servers and UNIX based systems. Installs and maintains software on the LAN and on user workstations as needed.
• Configuring MB & MQ objects such as Broker, execution groups, Msg Flows, Queue Managers, Queues, channels, Name lists, Clusters.
• Designing and Developing work flows and business rules. Perform data backups and disaster recovers.
