Position : Class B Commercial Driver and Warehouse Professional

Location : Miami, FL

Status : Position contingent upon contract award.

Clearance : Ability to obtain a favorable background check.

Travel : Local travel to MIA and Port Everglades in support of warehouse operations

Salary : Based on experience

Job Description : As directed, the driver performs delivery of items between warehouse and Port Everglades or Miami International Airport. When not involved in driving the person will support a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment’s storage plan. Work involves most of the following:

Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages

Routing materials to prescribed storage locations;

Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials

Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage;

Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.

May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

Work Environment : This job operates in a professional warehouse environment. This role routinely requires physical labor, use of material handling equipment and the potential for using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, frequently move up to forty (40) pounds and occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move more than one hundred (100) pounds with assistance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Employee must adapt to seasonal environmental conditions and temperatures in workspaces and be able to walk, stand or sit for extended periods of time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work : This is a regular, exempt full-time position, Monday through Friday between the hours of 0700-1700, with potential to work on weekends as required to support client operations.

Must have the experience and ability to perform the responsibilities stated in the above job description and deliver products in a tractor/trailer; comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; maintain truck operating efficiency; maintain safe operation and clean appearance; unload product of varying size and weight; enhance our organization’s reputation by ensuring courteous customer service; maintain driving record.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Valid Commercial Driver License ( CDL Class B ) required

Minimum three years recent commercial tractor trailer experience

Clean Driving Record
