CFO, Telemundo Station Group

The CFO, Telemundo Station Group will play a key leadership role in the organization, acting as a strategic business partner with the President of the Telemundo Station Group and the senior leadership team. The individual will interface with stations leadership teams and finance colleagues to assess growth opportunities aligned with the objectives and goals of the business. The CFO is responsible for financial management including forecasting, financial planning, performance tracking, risk assessment, strategy and insights.

The CFO will also lead as follows:

Business Leadership

Coach and lead a team of outstanding finance professionals
Partner with Telemundo Station Group leadership team to develop, manage and execute the businesses strategic plans
Manage all reporting requirements internal to business and share with the Owned Television Stations leadership team as well as the NBCUniversal leadership and finance teams
Work closely with corporate and station leadership to drive improvements in policy & process

Controllership Leadership

Maintain highest standard of excellence & accuracy for both internal and external certifications
Ensure balance sheet stewardship and controllership
Ensure financial policy & procedure compliance

Financial Management

Lead all financial activities at Telemundo’s television stations including budgeting, forecasting, planning and analysis, financial statement review and projection and comparison of financial estimates vs. budgets, and related risks and opportunities.
Support Telemundo Station Group President in leading key financial cycles at the stations group including: Long-Range Plan, Annual Budget, and quarterly estimates, monthly and quarterly operating reviews. Perform in-depth and meaningful analyses on actual performance vs. budgeted targets and key business drivers.
Manage FP&A team and aid in month- and quarter-end financial closings and periodic pacing process for the Telemundo stations, including discussion of variances in financial results vs. prior periods and plan.
Directly oversee finance teams at Telemundo television stations in the US and Puerto Rico.
Provide financial support of new business activities, including acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, and alliances.

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of financial experience, including advanced leadership and financial stewardship
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a leader in a financial planning and strategy role.
Experience managing financial metrics and forecasting in the media industry
Demonstrated Financial Acumen

Eligibility Requirements

Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
Must be willing to work in Miramar, FL
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be 18 years or older
