Business Process Analyst (Service and EDI) (48-52)

To apply business process knowledge and expertise together with a broad understanding of information technologies for the purpose of solving business problems and assisting customers in achieving business strategies. This position is the link between the business unit operations and the ITS department for enterprise business process improvement. Consult with management, peers, and customers to guide and influence long term and strategic decisions. The successful candidate for this role must have experience with BaaN and ERP LN Service module and exposure and understanding of EDI processes.

Major accountabilities for this position include:

  • Performs business process analysis, design and simulation, sometimes at a complex level, with responsibility for quality and process improvement.
  • Primary focus is on the objectives and methods of work process and approaches to implementing changes in work processes.
  • Has strong understanding of service processes, invoicing, and EDI. Creates and/or facilitates process design changes by integrating new systems and/or processes with existing ones.
  • Work with the ITS technical development groups to define concepts or high level task plans, and maintain close liaison with business personnel to assure business needs and values are met. Assists in the evaluation of software product functionality for application to Solar’s business processes.
  • Accountabilities also include managing projects to schedule and budget objectives and thus enabling process improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A four year degree in MIS, Finance or Business Administration with 2 to 6 years of experience.
  • Demonstrate detailed technical knowledge of BAAN and ERP LN enterprise systems and proficiency in a variety of Service Order and EDI business processes.
  • Ability to gather and understand customer requirements, design integrated processes, and train user base on new or updated system functions.
  • Experience with WFM, XM, Peoplesoft Time and Labor, MS Office Applications, knowledge of COGNOS and/or PPM is a plus.
  • Possess strong organizational, analytical and troubleshooting skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Evidence good human relation skills in order to develop a cooperative working relationship with individuals inside and outside the department, as well as maintain vendor contacts.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of Six Sigma methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven knowledge of financial systems and processes, forecasting, and information analysis.

Experience with WFM, XM, Peoplesoft Time and Labor, MS Office Applications, knowledge of COGNOS and/or PPM is a plus.
