JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Desc: A n mid-level Business/Data Analyst resource that will report directly to the Development Manager, to maintain and grow current Sales Analytics & Business Intelligence development practices and solutions, as well as small to mid-sized miscellaneous projects as needed.

Work with business units to analyze business processes, functions, and procedures to determine the most effective business software solutions to meet the needs of the business unit objectives. Elicit/create/refine business requirements, and define functional specifications and objectives based on business requirements. Act as liaison across various businesses units between systems development staff, management, and end-users to determine requirements. The analyst will be responsible for contributing to the successful implementation of assigned projects by ensuring that all the required elements are appropriately understood, documented, owned, and actioned.

Specific responsibilities include:
Document business and functional requirements utilizing applicable artifacts; Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, Workflow, Business Rules, Software Specifications, etc.

Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers

Collaborate with technology team members, end users, and other stakeholders in the testing of new software programs and applications

Review, and analyze data to check on accuracy, gaps, quality etc.

Develop and execute detailed project plans based on functional specifications

Oversee technology/application integration and implementation

Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, and end users

Assist with QA/Testing to convert use cases to test cases

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information/Business or related field

SKILLS

Required:
Previous experience in the financial services field, preferably within the institutional business

Minimum 3-5 years working in a large & complex environment

Excellent analytical and including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements

Highly versed in various SDLC methodologies, including waterfall and agile software development lifecycle

Data analysis using SQL

Strongly detail oriented, organized, and analytical

Self-motivated and can work independently as well as in a team environment

Proficient with MS Office applications: Excel, MS Project, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint, SQL
