Operations Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Analyze the price risk and volumetric risk associated with serving customers on retail products for the sales

• Work with sales on pricing and execution of contracts

• Prepare and analyze historical/ forward data for Pricing, forecasting and back-cast processes

• Contribute in the development of costing, pricing, and structuring retail electricity and natural gas transactions in PJM, NYISO and NE-ISO territories.

• Support the maintenance, development, and validation of forward price curves for all commodities

• Collecting, monitoring, and tracking enrollments, drops, and rate changes, as well as involvement with utility contacts to resolve rate and billing questions.

• Understanding of the EDI process, communication with Data Analysts, and BDMs to ensure the proper information and implementation

• Confirm and accept retail transactions into the company’s ERP/ ETRM.

• Development of ad-hoc analysis

• Participate in streamlining and developing processes or improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required – Business, Finance, Economics

• Strong Attention to details and be organized

• Proficient in Excel/ Excel macros

• Knowledge of SQL helpful

• 1-2 years prior experience in the energy industry

• Knowledge of the energy industry (Electric/Natural Gas)

• Knowledge of third party billing (ECI)
