Data warehouse Team Lead

Job Desc: An experienced technical lead that will supervise a small team of developers, to maintain and grow current Markets Data warehouse. This is a Lead role, requiring technical expertise along with experience in a front facing role with user, client & stakeholder interaction.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Oversee the design, development and integration of Markets Client connectivity data warehouse & reporting.
• Taking an active role in planning for and shaping the long-term roadmap, tools and platforms that will support the delivery of Client & Business analytics across Markets.
• Working with developers to coordinate efforts for delivering the right solutions at the right time.
• Taking an active role in establishing and improving development practices, standards, procedures, and controls (e.g., documentation, development and testing).
• Hands on logical and physical data modeling and database design responsibilities.
• Be able to lead ETL/acquisition/distribution development initiatives involving multiple complex source and target systems.

Requirements:

Qualification –

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or Software Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in technology/software development and delivery with focus on Databases, Data Warehouses and Business Intelligence.

Required Skills/Experience:

• In-Depth knowledge of database concepts and hands-on experience with one or more of RDBMS (Oracle, Vertica, etc.). Advanced PL/SQL skills. Experience with Vertica is a plus.
• Knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting, Informatica, Autosys
• Proven ability to work directly with users and management to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build good relationships and rapport.
• Entrepreneurial mindset /ability to take ownership and deliver end-to-end solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in the Financial Industry.
• Experience working with globally distributed team in a structured enterprise environment
