Job Description: Application/Production Support

Provide application/production/user support for the bank’s trade data warehouse. This is the banks source of books and records.

Responsible for regulatory reporting (OATS,ACT, 606, 605 etc.)

Responsibilities

Front line support of 24/5.5 of trade data warehousing, regulatory reporting and reporting requests for both internal and external

Proactively monitor the health and stability of the system at all times.

Incident, problem resolution, development of monitoring scripts, deployment of production releases

Provide Ad-Hoc requested information to stakeholders/users

Help maintain an information repository of application support material that can be accessed by support resources.

Operate as part of a shift rotation, covering the hours of 08:00 – 20:30 EST including bank holidays.

Working with regional and global DevOps teams to ensure knowledge transfer via documentation and/or training.

Provide detailed hand over summary to next prod support shift covering the incidents that occurred, the steps taken to resolve the issue and list the pending items that need attention.

Perform weekend production releases on a rotation basis.

Required Skills:
Support experience in an investment banking environment

Experience of working in a high pressure environment.

Strong UNIX/Linux knowledge.

Experience with Windows and Networking

Good database knowledge Oracle

Knowledge of scripting and programming (SQL, UNIX/PERL scripting, Java ).

Proficient in Autosys Job Scheduler

3-5 years experience in production support
