Accounting Specialist

Overseas the expense report process including personal reimbursements, corporate credit cards and the payment of said card. Maintains the processing and balancing for the indirect lending settlements ledgers. Responsible for the depreciation schedules and set up related to asset acquisition. Monitors and balances general ledger accounts and assist with month end closing entries and reporting.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees the process of expense report submission and payment, including the payment of corporate credit card charges and employee reimbursements.

?

Process and monitor the indirect lending settlement processing and balancing; to include CUDC lease/loans, student loans. Maintain and enhance existing and future relationships.

?

Tracks the process of asset acquisition and expense, from the purchase invoice payment to income statement expense entries. This includes maintaining depreciation and amortization schedules as well as continual monitoring the Projects in Process and Building in Progress ledgers.

Monitors and balances select general ledger accounts as well as assist with ad hoc tasks necessary for completion of monthly financial statements.

Assist/Back-up the process of vendor invoice payment, including organizing and distributing invoices into appropriate department queues for approval; Assist/Back-up the sending and verification of wires.

Assist/Back-up necessary functions for reconciling the corporate funding accounts; Alloya, Fed, FHLB.

Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Follows established company policies and procedures, including but not limited to: Sarbanes Oxley controls, Business Ethics and Standard of Conduct, Electronic Communications, Confidentiality and Privacy.

Knowledge and Skills:
A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory

experience.

Education/Certifications/Licenses

A high school degree or equivalent.

Courtesy and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with customers and

others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding fairly routine matters for the purposes of

giving and obtaining information or instructions, updating or referring. Communications require shorter and not in-depth discussions most of the time.

Other Skills

Ability to prioritize multiple, and sometimes, conflicting tasks.

Strong interpersonal communication skills are necessary for communicating expense deadlines to department managers and supervisors.
