The Accounting Associate provides support to the Controller and the North American Finance Team. This is a part time, non-exempt, position that is expected to work 20 hours per week.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The Accounting Associateresponsibilities include:

  • Collections:
  • Contact customers concerning discrepancies with their payments.
  • Answer customer questions concerning their account balances, etc.
  • Monitor customer accounts and collect on past due accounts according to specific deadlines.
  • Accountable for reducing delinquency on accounts.
  • Communicate and follow-up effectively with management regarding customer accounts. * Expense Reports and Corporate Credit Cards:
  • Track expenses and process expense reports based on company travel policy.
  • Follow-up with employees to ensure timely submission of expense reports.
  • Assist employees with expense inquiries and new user set-ups.
  • Reconcile and code corporate credit cards * Other Accounting Duties:
  • Assist with month end closing activities for A/R and A/P
  • Filing

Experience and/or Qualifications Required:

Minimum:

  • Associates Degree in accounting or 4 years applicable Accounting experience
  • 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience
  • 1 year experience using an expense management system (Concur, Expensify, etc.)
  • 1 year of business to business collections experience
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office products – (formulas, tracking, pivot tables a plus)

Preferred:

  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable management

Other knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Communication – must be a strong communicator in both verbal and written forms
  • Self-starter – must be able to manage themselves, develop a task list and work through it
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to develop excellent relationships both internally and with clients
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, growth filled environment

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
